Intro:
The first K-1 Attack kit was built on Honda Accord donor parts. K-1 works with the double wishbone Honda axle parts from the donor car and provides guarantee of quality for a supercar use.
The kit price is lower, because Honda Accord donor car provides many parts needed for the project.
The kit is about 15 years on the market and it demonstrates its popularity. In the course of its long term production, it has undergone several upgrades, especially at the technical level. K-1 parts / adapters was redesigned for fresh design and friendly use. Some body parts have been completely redesigned for better function as well. So, the kit works with the newest parts that technical development currently offers.
Although that is an older year of the donor car production, we still keep this version of the kit on the market for its benefits.
Suggestion:
The advantage of this version is lower price availability of the kit, but also donor parts. Donor parts are available all over the world and a wide range of new spare parts are still being manufactured.
The kit is also suitable for other powertrains and custom projects. The builder can swap the powerplant and rest parts only adapt for new situation. The axles are designed for use up to 500 hp.
Difficulty:
The difficulty of the project is level 2 (1 = easy / 5 = difficult). That means that a person with basic skills and without technical education can build the kit.

K20 engine
Intro:
The kit was designed for race-based builders. The light, powerful and high-rpm engine, cooperating with short 6-speed Honda gearbox, accurately illustrates the characteristics of the supersport car. The i-VTEC engine system is amplified in a lightweight car and gives to driver feel of power, specially when the multiple cam profiles continues to rise to 8,300 rpm. All this at a basic stock version of the engine.
The engine has great assumptions to increase power in atmospheric, compressor or turbo way. Many companies offers components to increase engine power, including improved gearboxes.
Powetrain is situable for racing purposes on the race circuit.
Acura in USA is equivalent to Honda and can be used as a donor car as well. The complete kit contains all the important axle parts, which the builder needs. It little increased the cost of the kit, but gives to the builder comfort of minimum demands for donor parts.
Suggestion:
The most powerfull stock engine is japanese (JDM) version of engine K20A, with base power 221 hp and rev limiter at 8,600 rpm.
You can also work with donor Acura RSX, Honda Integra DC5 or Civic Si. There are compatible for K-1 use.
Difficulty:
The difficulty of the project is level 3 (1 = easy / 5 = difficult). That means that a person with basic technical education and skills can build the kit.

Intro:
The kit was designed for builders who prefere a fun car for daily use and for a trips as well. An atmospheric engine has plenty of torque and power for occasional racing. Its dynamics and expression surpasses most V6 engines.
From an aesthetic point of view it is a very clean build, without unnecessary adapters. Although it is a conversion from Front Wheel Drive to Rear Wheel Drive, like the other Honda versions.
Thanks to electric accelerator pedal and original gear shift system, the car is very responsive and precise.
Acura manufacturer, equivalent to Honda in USA, can be used as a donor car as well. The complete kit contains all the important axle parts, which the builder needs. It little increased the cost of the kit, but gives to the builder comfort of minimum demands for donor parts.
Suggestion:
You can also work with donor US Accord K24A4, Element K24A4, Acura TSX K24A2, Euro Accord K20A or K24A along with a US 03+ Accord, TSX or Euro Accord Transmission. There are compatible for K-1 use.

Toyota MR2
Intro:
The kit built on Toyota MR2 platform is very popular for its simplicity. Toyota MR2 is originally rear wheel drive, as well as K-1. Construction is very simple and fast, because K-1 uses the same location of donor parts like Toyota MR2. This is also an advantage for wiring that does not require major changes.
Kit development:
We had a lot of requirements for new turbo powered K-1 kit. So, we started development and our first steps headed for the Subaru Impreza STI. This donor car was often mentioned and has fans around the world, especially in the US. Unfortunately, our testing has shown that installation to K-1 is possible, but it requires many adapters to reduce the power from All Wheel Drive to Rear Wheel Drive vehicle. Other Subaru donor parts can be used, but with necessary modification, custom manufacturing and technical compromises. This is associated with higher kit costs, more work for the customer. From a technical point of view, it is not a satisfactory solution. We know there are many RWD kits, including Factory five racing, that use Subaru as the main donor. But build an average car, with technical compromises, it was not our goal.
When we found Toyota MR2, we were excited. It seems the car was designed specially for K-1.
From technical point of view, Toyota MR2 is 100% donor car for K-1. Production and sales started in 2013.
Suggestion:
For K-1 construction is possible to use atmospheric or turbo version. If you want to drive really powerful car, choose the Japanese (JDM) 3S-GTE Turbo engine. In the ideal case technically advanced Rev. 3 and later. That is also possible to work with the newer 3S-GTE engine from III. MR2 generation.
The kit is suitable for builders who prefer high engine power. The engine's power can be easily increased, the frame and axles are designed for use up to 850 hp!
Difficulty:
The difficulty of the project is level 1 (1 = easy / 5 = difficult). That means that a person with basic skills and without technical education can build the kit.

Electric drive
Intro:
The kit was designed for increasing popularity of alternative drives, especially for electric drive . The customer no longer has to modify the conventional (combustion engine) kit, but works with the already prepared kit.
To ensure the best possible project price, the kit is built on donor parts from the original Honda Accord. It guarantees parts quality and accessibility throughout the world.
The builder can use a wide range of separate electric drives system used as conversions to ordinary cars and fit them into a K-1 rolling chassis. It is also possible to use a complete rear axle with powertrain unit from electric donor car, such as a Tesla.
The power unit (electric motor and its management) is not included in the kit. The project requires orientation of the builders and education in the field of electric drive vehicles.
Suggestion:
The K-1 with electric drive is popular for its light weight and timeless design. It found customers from group of private builders as well as from companies that built a K-1 as promo car.
Difficulty:
The difficulty of the project is level 3 (1 = easy / 5 = difficult). The kit is ready for builders with technical skills (in electric drive) and for their own application.
